Our Process
When you contact Lineage Finders about your genealogical research project, we will spend time discussing your goals and reviewing any information you have compiled. There is no charge for the initial consultation. If we agree to move forward, there will be a proposed scope of work based on the amount of time and level of expertise necessary to achieve your goals. Any direct project expenses will be extra. We are results-oriented genealogists, so all work will be personalized and professional.
Lineage Finders is dedicated to client satisfaction, objectivity and the truth. If we cannot prove the exact ancestry you are envisioning, we will provide facts. We believe all of our ancestors had interesting, valuable lives that contributed to who we are today.
Genealogical Proof Standard
LIneage Finders operates under the Genealogical Proof Standard, which has five elements:
- Reasonably exhaustive research has been conducted.
- Each statement of fact has a complete and accurate source citation.
- The evidence is reliable and has been skillfully correlated and interpreted.
- Any contradictory evidence has been resolved.
- The conclusion has been soundly reasoned and coherently written.
All personal information and records are kept confidential.
